I haven’t written a post in exactly one month, lots has happened, things have changed…
Travis went to work that next day and we got a RED CROSS Message about my Dad, his health is really bad and we had to get an emergency passport for Clark so that we could fly to the states. We left on Saturday the 10th. We went for 11 days, spent quality time with my Dad; got to see my sister and my Mom Sue (I have two moms) and eat some of our favorite junk food from back home. The trip was not nearly long enough, there weren’t enough hours in the day spent with my Dad and I was unable to make the clock stop.
We came back to Germany on the 21st and then my Mom Gail came to stay with us for three weeks the next day. She is still here and will leave on Sunday. She has been a life saver, she was key in taking care of Clark while Travis and I tried to recover from a virus we got at a Christmas party, she has watched the baby while I’ve taken extra-long showers, and she has been there to assist when I’ve needed it most.
Travis has returned to work and this coming Monday will be my first day alone in mommy-hood.
Hopefully I can figure out a schedule that will allow me to keep up with regular posts, working out, playing with Clark, and keep my house clean… Wish me luck!
